Having bought a pre-owned Sony FM stereo tuner through eBay, it came without any manuals. It soon became clear that to get the best from this excellent tuner I needed a decent manual because much of the operation was not intuitive to a newboy to hi fi like me. I managed to download the official Sony multi-lingual manual from Owner-Manuals.com with no problem at all - a really quick and easy service. I'm very glad I did because I found out all the operations of the tuner and was then able to not only set it up quickly but also to get much more from it that poke-and-hope trialling would ever achieve. In my book $4.99 very well spent.

1 Safety Instructions for
â¢ A device must be provided in the electrical installation which allows the appliance to be disconnected from the mains at all poles with a contact opening width of at least 3 mm Suitable isolation devices include line protecting cut-outs, fuses (screw type fuses are to be removed from the holder), earth leakage trips and contactors. â¢ In respect of fire protection, this appliance corresponds to type Y (EN 60 335-2-6). Only this type of appliance may be installed with a high cupboard or wall on one side. â¢ Drawers may not be fitted underneath the hob. â¢ The installation must guarantee shock protection. â¢ The kitchen unit in which the appliance is fitted must satisfy the stability requirements of DIN 68930. â¢ For protection against moisture, all cut surfaces are to be sealed with a suitable sealant. â¢ On tiled work surfaces, the joints in the area where the hob sits must be completely filled with grout. â¢ On natural, artificial stone, or ceramic tops, the snap action springs must be bonded in place with a suitable artificial resin or mixed adhesive. â¢ Ensure that the seal is correctly seated against the work surface without any gaps. Additional silicon sealant must not be applied; this would make removal more difficult when servicing. â¢ Avoid installing the appliance next to doors and under windows. Otherwise hot cookware may be knocked off the rings when doors and windows are opened. â¢ The hob must be pressed out from below when removed.
